Absence of Light is a hard rock/heavy metal band from Belgrade, that was formed in November of 2014. They had recently released the official music video for their newest single, titled "Empty Story".

First Single
The song "My Screams (They're All in Vain)" was written/recorded in May (2017), solely by a founding member of the band, David Stanmore. Everything that you see and hear from this band is coming from him, and this song is just a little taste of what is yet to come.

The goal of the song was to make the studio version, sound as close as it can to the live version. So that's why there were only two guitar and two vocal tracks. We tried to keep the live energy of the song, the same as the studio version of it, something that we feel is somewhat missing these days in music.

The band is also currently looking for musicians and management who would want to join the project, and continue the work in a similar direction.

David Stanmore is a musician, producer and an audio/video engineer, who is also a founding member of the band Absence of Light.
​
His work can be found across Youtube, ranging from cover videos, to professional music videos, to his vlogs in which he talks about his passion for music and his views of the world, much like in his music.
​
He is also the owner of Moderato Studios, a successful production studio based in Belgrade.
